Hey all,

Here's an update on what's been happening down at Woodstock recently. Blues guitar prodigy Stephen Bowtell has started tracking his debut record with Robin Mai. Always great to have Jeff Raglus back in the studio with us as well. Jeff has been working with Robin on his new long player with a swag of fine guests- a beautiful sounding record in the making indeed.. (hot tip-check out his paintings too...)......Ouch My Face did a quick couple of days with Troy Trigwell on their new double A single 'knockout'...

Melbourne via Tanzania reggae man Larry Maluma has also been chipping away at his next project with Robin while the Otherside have been in with Cam Trewin working on their debut EP. Also too with Cam have been Screwtop Detonators from Perth. Great guys, killer show, top tunes-looking forward to hearing the record out and about later this year... Local singer songwriter Dennis O'Connell has been busy working with Troy on his record 'Broken Glass'. A top gent indeed with some great songs... The Golden Mile have been back in to mix up some tracks they've recorded recently... Jennifer Levy has been working on her record with Robin and with Joe Camilleri in the producers chair... Joe has also himself been working on tracks from his various projects including Bakelite Radio and The Black Sorrows....

March saw new Melburnian via NZ  resident Matt Joe Gow come back for some more tracking with us. A guest of ours here last year, he has returned with a fresh new  batch of his alt country numbers. Direct from France we had the pleasure of having avant garde sister act CocoRosie stay for a couple of weeks while tracking their new record. Fun times and late nights were had. Reckon this will be a big record for them, full of cool beats, fantastic vocals and loops made from the most unusual of sources- a great follow to their previous release a few years ago....Local pianist the lovely Gemma Turvey was also in for a couple of days with Robin finishing off her record....Last but not least local rockers Dirty Pink Jeans came in with Sydney producer Rob Taylor to add the last track to their debut record due out later in the year.

We've also been busy getting ready for the addition of our new studio 2 facility in May. Located 200 metres away, the studio was designed and built by the same team that designed Woodstock's main Studio 1. World class build quality, fantastic sounding rooms, great mics and more of the tastiest outboard pres and compressors around. We don't think there's another studio in town that comes close for the price. To celebrate we've launched some great packages for indie acts to kick it off....From demos for $660 to 16 day records starting from around 12 grand (all with engineer). Whatever your budget, with studio 2 we can now offer even better value for money for your next project while still providing the quality of service we're well known for....

Coming soon... Bonjah from NZ doing their full length debut, The Yabu Band as well as Freya Handly from WA doing their records, Yilila from the NT in for mixing and Fab Tolli Band starting their 12 tracker.

That's all for now, stay tuned!

Good times!
